Nadine Czerner – Managing Director
With more than 30 years’ experience in the building industry, both on the tools and in management, Nadine is a born leader. She has been at the helm of My Repairbuild since 2010. Her hard work and resilience have helped shape this Brisbane building repair company into what it is today.
Nadine has seen the building industry from all angles. She was an apprentice builder, then a contracts administrator and then a project manager on large-scale commercial and retail building projects. Now as the director and owner of My Repairbuild, she’s seen it all. Here her focus is on building repairs of all kinds – from the smallest jobs up the scale to the largest rebuilds.
Nadine loves meeting and exceeding client expectations, no matter what the circumstances. She directs teams through the often-complex tasks required to complete a project to the highest possible quality, safety and service standards.
Jacob Lavender – Build Supervisor
Bringing more than 10 years of experience across residential and commercial construction, insurance repairs, structural carpentry, renovations and fit-outs.
A qualified carpenter, Jacob has progressed throughout his career into leadership and supervisory roles, where he has been responsible for managing carpentry teams, coordinating trades, interpreting construction drawings, overseeing site safety and ensuring works are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Jacob also has valuable experience in building repairs. His broad construction background gives him a strong understanding of building methodology and the practical problem-solving skills required for the varied and often complex repair projects undertaken by My Repairbuild.
In his role as Supervisor, Jacob works closely with our clients, trades and project team to coordinate works on site, maintain quality standards and ensure projects progress smoothly. Jacob is also known for his excellent customer service. He is approachable, communicates clearly and takes the time to listen to clients and understand their concerns. His ability to combine strong construction knowledge with genuine customer care makes him a valuable member of the My Repairbuild team.

Tony Baker – Building Repair Estimator
A highly experienced building professional with an extensive career spanning residential construction, insurance repairs, estimating, project management and building supervision. A qualified Carpenter and Joiner with a Certificate IV in Building and Construction, Tony combines strong technical construction knowledge with many years of practical industry experience.
Tony has particular expertise in residential building repair assessing and estimating, including inspecting damaged properties, determining appropriate repair methodologies and preparing estimates. His experience includes working closely with homeowners, contractors, and other key stakeholders to achieve practical and cost-effective outcomes.
Most recently, Tony worked as a Resilient Homes Fund Assessor undertaking value-for-money assessments. Prior to this, he worked as an Estimator/Assessor specialising in insurance repairs and attending site meetings with clients, assessors and other stakeholders.
Tony’s broader career includes roles in maintenance supervision, project management, production estimating and sales estimating across residential, commercial, government and Defence-related projects. His experience includes tender preparation, take-offs, scheduling, procurement, cost control, subcontractor engagement and project delivery.
With a strong combination of hands-on trade knowledge and estimating expertise, Tony is a practical problem solver and effective communicator who brings a thorough, considered and collaborative approach to every project.
Kiel Van Kraay – Experienced Carpenter
A highly skilled and experienced carpenter who has been working in the building industry since the age of 17. With a wealth of hands-on experience, Kiel has developed an extensive skill set across all aspects of carpentry, including new home builds, renovations, extensions, staircases and detailed finishing work.
A true old-school carpenter, Kiel takes pride in his craftsmanship, combining traditional carpentry skills with modern building techniques. Known for his efficiency, attention to detail and ability to get the job done right, Kiel believes that working quickly should never mean compromising on quality.
His broad experience and practical approach to problem-solving make him a valuable member of the My Repairbuild team, particularly when tackling complex building repairs and renovation projects.
Outside of work, Kiel enjoys keeping active through skateboarding and spending time at the gym. He also has a passion for music and enjoys making the most of his downtime.
