Frequently Asked Questions

Is My Repairbuild fully licenced and insured?

Yes! We’re qualified and fully experienced insurance repairers. We hold a Medium Rise QBCC Builders Licence (No. 1194917). We’re part of the Queensland Master Builders Association. We also have Contractors all Risk, $20M Public Liability and Workcover insurance policies.

Can any other work be done in conjunction with my insurance repairs?

It sure can! This will take us into the realm of the private quote. Make sure you let us know prior to the commencement of the insurance repairs work that you’d like additional work completed.

Who will carry out the insurance repairs?

We have our own qualified tradespeople and, if necessary, specialist subcontractors. You’ll be working with a team of experts who are all the best in the business.

What happens after the Estimator has measured and assessed the site?

We’ll prepare a quote and submit it to the insurer or loss adjuster who requested it. You won’t see your quote directly from us – you’ll have to contact your loss adjuster if you’d like a copy.
Once a recommendation is received from the insurer, we’ll contact you and send you any relevant paperwork. Don’t worry, this might be your first time but it’s not ours!

What happens with my excess payment?

For your insurance repairs, we’ll figure out who is responsible for payment and send them an invoice. Excess must be paid prior to commencement.

What if you find more things that are wrong?

It depends on the type of damage. If it’s the same cause that we’re already there for, we’ll arrange for a supplementary quote to go to your insurer so they can determine the best course of action.

What do I need to prepare before the insurance repairs take place?

Clean out breakables and move them away from the area being worked on. If there’s any painting going on, move and cover objects. Remove contents of cupboards if applicable. We can help with this stuff too – it’s all part of the service!
